National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Saturday, April 26, 2025
For many people, taking medication is a regular part of their daily routine. Whether it’s a prescription medication to treat a chronic condition or an over-the-counter medication to reduce injury-related inflammation, taking medications as prescribed can make you feel better and help you get well. It’s important to keep precautions in mind, though, to ensure unused or expired medications don’t end up in the wrong hands or pollute our local water systems.
Help make a difference by joining Senator Angelique Ashby (D-Sacramento), WellSpace Health, and the California Partnership for Access to Treatment (CPAT) for an educational event surrounding Prescription Drug Take Back Day in Sacramento on Saturday, April 26.
Speakers will discuss the importance of taking medications as prescribed and how to safely dispose of medications to prevent misuse and protect your health, home, and environment. In addition to learning about proper disposal options – like drug deactivation pouches and designated drop-off sites at pharmacies, grocery stores, and law enforcement offices – WellSpace will provide attendees with educational resources.
This event is part of the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Let’s work together to keep our community safe and informed! Join us for a day of education, awareness, and action in a welcome and secure environment.
- When: Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10am – 12pm
- Where: WellSpace Health, 2425 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95817
